Thanks for the explanation! It was seriously puzzling me. Based on the size of the land, I can totally see how a round up would be such an involved process. I was wondering how the ranchers even locate a herd.
The drive really is amazing. I did it a couple of times when I was still in university, but I did not take the time to appreciate what I was seeing. This time I was really awestruck. I’m sure being cooped up for nearly a year-and-a-half had something to do with that, but the colours of the land and the big sky are such a contrast to what I see living in the boreal forest. I saw quite a few people on motorcycles throughout the drive.
