they have lost some very strong players to injury: Seager and Bellinger have missed a ton of time.....probably 2 of their top 3 players
also, they have missed a lot of pitching due to injury especially the BP.....
that said, Giants and Padres much improved.....look for the Dodgers to be active at the trade deadline
