We are in hot n muggy mode now, have been for almost 2 months and will be till about Thanksgiving. BUT.....It has been quite a while since we have had a REALLY hot heat wave. The last I recall was my Senior year of High School. Late Spring 1985. We had a few weeks where the temps hit around 104-105 in late May to mid June. I recall Summer 1981 being REALLY REALLY hot in mid June AND we had yellow sand in the air from the Sahara. I STILL recall going to see Raiders Of The Lost Ark with my Dad. The cold AC in the theater felt SO nice. When we walked out of the theater, it was BRUTAL heat and everything was yellow. It was creepy.
