Well, not really a remake... just the same story told with at least some adherence to the truth. "Bonnie and Clyde"....
Even when that came out it troubled me... turning evil people into folk heroes, sympathetic characters.
"Highwaymen"... not really a remake just a retelling of the Bonnie and Clyde story... and most likely it does treat the two cops who chased Bonnie & Clyde with a bit of kid gloves... but nothing as exaggerated as the treatment of Bonnie & Clyde in the Warren Beatty film. - JamesJM
