I was simply saying that freedom of choice works both ways. Employees (players) ought to have the right to opt out (its called resigning), so Employers ought to be able to make a similar choice about their employees. In fact, our employment laws have generally worked that way.
Choice has consequences and there is a cost either way. That's the nature of freedom. We must suck it up and live with our choices and all they bring with them without blaming someone else or expecting them to finance our choices especially if there is a real dollar cost to them..... like a player opting out, or a player refusing to get the vaccine and the team saying they can't be around any other team member in any required way for the job, so they team is shelving them (at no pay). In fact the right of the employer to make vaccination a job requirement has already been tested in court, and the employer is deemed to have such a right. Now its up to the employee to decide which is more important: keeping the job or not having the vaccine. Freedom.
