Choice is freedom. Another's choice forcing me to do things that make you feel better is not freedom; it is coercion.
All that is happening is that the government and the media that so hyped and exaggerated the Covid threat, and so scared some people to death, and so easily supplied fake news and suspicions when it suits their narratives, have done a real number on people who are fearful by nature. They are not likely to easily be persuaded that since January, magically everything has changed.
How many hundreds of millions (billion or two) of successful vaccinations versus the incredibly tiny number of failures does it take for an intelligent person to get it that in all but the super-rare cases, the shots are safe and they are efficacious? But, that said, freedom is freedom and, this isn't Russia (yet), and I stand by anyone who chooses not to get the vaccine.
But, choices also come with consequences, and so the cost must be counted.
