EEEEEEVERY player is golfing for the fence. And the fences are glorified Softball fields. Gone are the days of a good hit n run. Nobody knows how to hit behind the runner. When was the last time you saw a batter choke up when all that is needed is ANY contact?? Too often I see batters totally loaf on a ground out. When I played HIGH SCHOOL ball, our Coach would wind sprint us till we died right after a game is ANY player gave up on a grounder or even a high fly out. Batters are DIVAS who wear 20 pieces of body armor. Pitchers can no longer is the STRATEGIC inside pitch without Batters freaking out....leading to warnings from the Ump.

As a TV viewing fan.....You better be a Yankees or Red Sox fan if you do not have some sort of MLB package. Here in the Southeast, fans used to watch TBS religeously for Braves games. Now it's assumed people care about the Marlins (Nope!) Personally, I miss the Cubs on WGN...........And any NBC Game Of The Week on Saturdays.

Bottom line......Baseball is fading.
