Seems to have everyone scratching their head. What I meant by it is a song well regarded, popular but not necessarily so, that most of your friends liked a lot but you didn't.
I think everyone is using 'played a lot' as the top criteria. Which is ONE part of what I tried to get at but not entirely that.
"Stairway To Heaven".... loved that song, and still do... but I seldom want to hear it.
Like you say, it's just played too often. And strangely, correct me if I'm off base here, I believe that song when it came out was NOT a radio hit? Yes it certainly is today but THEN I don't think it got much airplay at all?
