I don't want this to get away from football.
If we are concerned if vaccinated people may still transmit virus, then why should anyone vaccinate?
People who have been vaccinated can still come into contact with people who are infected. The vaccinated people will not get sick from the virus but they can potentially carry it with them, at least for a short while.
The point of vaccination is not just to protect yourself though, it is to reduce the spread of the virus. If you have vaccinated a large enough percentage of the population, the transmission rate is massively reduced. The key is that large percentage being vaccinated. (70%?). When that happens it is far less likely that someone who has been vaccinated will run into an infected person. Then, though the vaccinated person won't get sick, they can still pass it on to another unvaccinated person who does risk getting sick. Those numbers have to be reduced, that's the point of vaccination.
So yeah partly the point of a vaccination is to protect the individual from getting sick, but another big reason is to reach the point where the virus doesn't have places to go and stops reproducing--which as we all know is called herd immunity.
