St. Louis county and city lifted all mask mandates on 5/14. Many stores removed their mask requirements for vaccinated people but none of them are asking the unmasked if they are vaccinated or not.
When I as in the grocer last week everybody was wearing a mask. Yesterday, only a handful. I was in Lowes today and they still have their sign up. Most people respected the sign and were wearing masks but a few were not. I asked the clerk at checkout if they were asking the unmasked to put them on and they said they were not.
It will likely only be another week or two before most of the businesses take down their signs. Fewer and fewer people will be wearing their masks regardless of the signs as I don't think it will be tenable for most businesses to make customers wear masks. This is the way it is going to go unless there is a resurgence in cases.
