I just listed a bunch of things that were deemed Scientific findings. Like I said, I'm not slamming the work.......VERY hard work of Scientists, trying to figure this crap out. I'm saying that there are too many "facts" coming in too early. It's all evolving and will continue to do so. I. myself, have been vaccinated with both shots, over 3 months ago. I have had Covid with ZERO symptoms. But right now, I have heard and seen NOTHING to make me feel better than I felt about all of this this time last year. BOTTOM LINE...... I'm NOT trying to slam you, Science or anyone. I'm just not getting excited about ANYTHING coming out on Covid....for now.
You did not slam anything.
But you ARE confusing things. The scientific consensus never said the vaccine would take 2-3 years. You heard that somewhere and then assumed it was the science, when it never was.
Then......If we can just get most of the population vaccinated, we should be good. That's true. It is always true of all vaccinations.
But wait!! Vaccinated folks are STILL getting Covid. This is just
you confusing things. (Plus you offer it as contradicting the most of the population thing, when it DOESN'T.) There has been a tiny percentage of people globally who got covid when vaccinated, which does not contradict the stated info that Moderna and Pfizer are 94% effective. No one ever said 100%. You might have a point if the people who got covid after vaccination were a high enough number, but it's NOT, it's a fraction.
Plus as I said the fact a tiny percentage can still get it after vaccination does NOT contradict the claim that herd immunity works once you reach a certain percentage. Why? Because that is true of all vaccinations, and always has been. Some viruses like measles require a higher percentage of the population vaccinated, but to contain the virus you do need herd immunity that comes from vaccinating the right percentage of people.
Now we have variants!EVERY VIRUS HAS VARIANTS and the covid variants were predicted. I can show you people talking about the possibility of variants back in April 2020.
Gator, you did not present a coherent picture of the actual science on this. You tossed together some half-facts, some non-science, and acted as though it's a coherent picture when it's not. That is YOU are confusing things and then acting as if it is the science that is confused.
And not once has a situation happened on this virus where conclusive evidence had been reached by extensive medical study---and then overturned.
There's stuff we still don't know but that's not the same thing as overturning conclusive findings.
