I don't agree with everything you said but do agree with the general sentiment.

I was in the Bahamas a couple of weeks ago. The Bahamas required a "Heath Visa" to clear customs which was a questionnaire plus proof of a negative PCR test taken within 5 days of arrival. We also needed a negative rapid test within 5 days of leaving which we were able to get at Chub Cay. I didn't have to deal with TSA going or returning but did need to deal with customs both ways. I would imagine that printouts of the negative tests would have worked. But I get where your are coming from. The customs agent in Ft. Lauderdale as an @$$hole.
One of our group previously had Covid AND was vaccinated and two others were vaccinated. They required the same documentation. Kinda silly, but that's how bear-acracy works (or doesn't work)
