Here in April. My grandson's HS ended up playing a 4 game season.
At 0-3 for the season and playing the #1 ranked team in our division tonight I'm not very hopeful, but not without hope either.
All three of our games thus far were 'away' games... tonight we're at home... and I got all excited because our home games mean homemade Taco's, Burrito's, Tri-Tip Sandwiches, a glutton's delight.... then my daughter informed me - "No food will be available at the game".
A football game without nachos? Tacos? Peanut M&M's? It's the dark ages again.
Ok... the 'exciting news'.... last summer my grandson's HS installed new lights on the football field. (Thank God, the old ones were like playing by candlelight). And these aren't just ANY old lights... they are the newest and baddest. This is top secret info, BTW... they're planning to surprise the fans this evening with these new lights... so what's 'new' about these lights? They do tricks.
I'm not sure how many tricks... but I know 'strobing' is one of the tricks. On our first TD this evening, (if we score a TD), they're going to debut one of these new tricks, (not sure which one). Which means... the scorer, and the team, will go down in history.
So, we now have lights from the future and a scoreboard from early last century.
And no tacos. - JamesJM
