It's a fun thing for little Johnny to kick a ball and Soccer Moms to cheer but once it gets to Jr High level, it falls off a cliff. Here in Jacksonville, we have MAYBE 2-3 schools that remotely fill competitive teams that eeeeeeevery year are representing the City in the state playoffs. All the others have the 1-2 kids that MIGHT advance to the NCAA level and get BLASTED by those 2-3 schools I mentioned. They have been TRYING to push Soccer for decades now and it is still WAY down the food chain of real talent in the US, compared to Football, Basketball and Baseball.
