I'm sure I've told you the story...

Of Rickey Medlocke, the original singer for the band Blackfoot, who had the big hit Train Train.. My old bass player, Tim Stunson ended up playing in Blackfoot for about 6-7 years in the 90's and he had Rickey call my house several times, and we hung for a while at a couple of their shows in Dallas.. Cool, talented guy..

Rickey got the call to play for Lynyrd Skynyrd and disbanded Blackfoot.. He's still playing guitar for Skynyrd to this day.. Amazingly, I didn't know that he was one of the original Skynyrd drummers.. I say drummers because he was a second drummer and vocalist to help fill the band sound out.. but, he was a guitarist, by nature, and quit to play guitar and sing for Blackfoot..
