We know from the fossil record a similar, Bigfoot type creature existed alongside early humans:
Gigantopithecus .
Nessie is even less believable. Lots of eels live in the Loch, very similar to what witnesses describe seeing. Some of the eels are pretty big.
I knew you were going to mention space travel.
I have that same question, too, but we we already have the ability, theoretically, for teleportation. Advanced geometry and physics says it's possible. Space has a way of turning what we know about physics on its head. See Newtonian vs. Relative physics, dark energy, dark matter, etc. For teleportation, it's a matter of energy source. We don't have any energy source that's efficient enough to sustain moving space for any significant length of time.
We can only know what we know (duh!). What we think we know has a lot of assumptions built in that I think are premature.
