My father had a Belgian Shepard. My mom was caught in a riptide in Bermuda and was being pulled out to sea. My dad, a strong swimmer, tried to swim out to her but the dog, Heida, swam past my dad out to her, let my mom grab the back of her neck and swam her back to shore in tow.
