When I was looking for a TR7, a lot of the advice I heard was to not buy one from a northeastern state, because they use so much salt on the roads due to snow/ice that most of the TR7's from those states were total rust buckets.. I'm assuming newer cars probably would have a clear coat or something that would help protect against salt damage, but always best not tempt fate..
