Yet another movie I liked but don't think many will....

"The Dig". I think I've mentioned this before when the topic "what did you want to be when you were growing up", (or something similar), came up.

Most say fireman, policeman, maybe astronaut... my choice was a bit different - "Archaeologist". Yes, I know, strange occupation for a 5yr old kid to choose. laughing smiley Never the less, it's true. I didn't become an archaeologist but I never lost the desire.

So.. that's what the movie "The Dig" is about. There is some 'romance' mixed in; I think the makers of the movie figured 'archaeology' alone would not hold the attention of many...and they're probably right... but in this case I didn't mind the romance element... I thought they incorporated it into the movie well, not great, but ok. What I liked most - - -

Was the portrayal of what getting in touch with the past 'feels' like. They were describing me.

So if you're like me you're running low on movies to watch... you might give this one a try. If you hate it you can always reply back to me how horrible this suggestion was. laughing smiley
