Yeah, several neighbors have done that..

with varying degrees of success.. some died within a year.. One house that has had success with sod actually brought in a truck with dirt and raised their yard about 6 inches high - it tapers off at the edges - but their sod grew and still looks good years later.. So, I'm think that's what I need to do - put a ton of dirt down with a brand new "base" for the sod, or seed to grow in..

Yeah, I know watering is key with sod..

sstrams223January 24, 2021 06:04AM

Here in Florida, it's VERY VERY hard to get grass to grow under a Live Oak.

Ramgator183January 23, 2021 09:16AM

  Yeah, that's the problem...

sstrams142January 23, 2021 09:27AM

In Florida and I KNOW in Texas, the big trade off is SHADE in the Summer.

Ramgator330January 23, 2021 09:47AM

  Still no sun here..

sstrams164January 24, 2021 06:05AM

sstrams139January 25, 2021 05:36AM

Clay?? Try different types of Centipede seed.

Ramgator146January 25, 2021 08:09AM

  Just looked it up..

sstrams148January 25, 2021 08:20AM
