I hate them as well, I have no choice...

For movies I can get by 'turning it down' and using captions... but for MUSIC? I don't listen to all music at full volume, (even though i tease sometime on this board that I do), but when I WANT to hear the walls rattling then I WANT THAT ABILITY... can't do it, my wife quite literally gets homicidal if she hears loud noise.

To me having to listen to my favorite HARD rock tunes at low volume is torture... I'd sooner you just crack me over the head with a hammer and render me unconscious.
