I loved that movie and truth? Not me. I was only 4 yrs old. But the story and music haunts me. The vulnerability of a woman whose received news of her husbands death in the war. And the total innocence of a 16 yr old boy whom she sees as comfort-not joy or release-but comfort. I needed my wife to understand how that could well occur even during her grief.

I suspect this may have not been so unusual during the war.
