We did something similar..

We brought in breakfast for the staff at our vet after losing Lucie.. That was so traumatic for us, to have to let her go at the vet, that last year we were at the vet for a routine checkup for Mauie and someone was there going through the same thing, so while they were grieving in the other room, I paid for the euthanasia and cremation fees.. I always thought that was a kick in the nads.. to have to lose your best friend, then get stuck with a bill for it, so I kept one family from going through that...
