Bella and Colonel were a team. Polar opposites in personality but a team. We loved Bella BECAUSE she was a @#$%&! LOLOL She kissed NOBODY'S @$$! But Colonel?? I have had nothing but cats all of my life. Elizabeth has had a dog or two but mostly cats. We BOTH always said that Colonel was that ONCE in a lifetime cat. He was a cat that loved like a dog. You guys recall my USS Hornet that I built from Feb - June.... EEEEEEEEEVERY time I went to the room to work on it...EVERY time....Colonel would RUN to the room to stand by me. He'd often start by putting his paws on the seat and reach up at me. In other words, the requirement by him was I HAD to pick him up, let him look at what was on the table and then let him rub his mouth on my LED lit magnifying glass lamp. Then I'd put him down and he lay RIGHT next to me till I was done... EVERY time! About 2 months ago, I started a 1/32 Japanese Zero. I can see it being a LONG time before I can get the strength / nerve to sit at that desk.
What I said above and the VERY rigid routines our cats had. Hard to shake not seeing them do the daily things. Just two days ago, I might have said that I could easily never own another animal. Two days later, I'm looking forward to when that $^%^^$ empty inner ache subsides enough to do it again.
