EXACTLY what the Vet JUST told me! I feel better after talking to him.

The Nurse called first. She said he probably won't think of food till the pain meds wear off....in a day maybe two. The Doc called me not 10 minutes ago. He said the same thing that the Nurse said and he reminded me...... DUH!!.... NEVER thought of it....... Simple SHOCK! He said our guy went through the ringer yesterday and the shock alone will keep animals from eating. THEN he said....Still try to encourage eating with something he does not usually eat (Exactly what you said) For lunch, I'm gonna do a Tuna sandwich. I'll try tuna.

We were slated to take him back to the Vet tomorrow but the Doc just told me that since it was later in the day the tube was put in, we'll go on Saturday morning instead. He also said that if he has not eaten by then, they can give a appetite stimulant.

THE biggest concern is..... CAN he pee?? I picked him up about an hour ago and did have a large drop of liquid (Not blood) on my hand. I SOO hope that was urine.
