actually a LOT worse.
For not having played in many months, and one practice, I was ok with how we did last night.
Also... it helps a lot to play for a lot of people literally starved for a night out, some entertainment, and lots of drinking.
It also helps to have grandsons, and some other young friends, to help unload and then reload all the equipment.... although - I'm actually SORE this morning, and not just a little sore but hurting.
Got a blister, two of them actually, which doesn't surprise me having not played in so long.
sstrams - the 'voice'... not like it was Wednesday... but not bad either. But i didn't sing very much, we didn't play most of the songs I sing.
For the first time I used my iPhone while playing... bought a holder that mounts on my drum kit, (helps with some lyrics and also a metronome to set tempo)... but the best part about it was..... after one of the songs I sing I instantly got a text from my granddaughter, she's 16, saying something like, "You rocked that Papa"... to which I smiled, and then thought, "Hey, wait a second, this is a bar, how did you get in here?"..... she replied back that my daughter streamed it to her.
I did, however, notice several under 21's in the crowd... they serve food there so I don't the rules, maybe it's legal?
Ok, the best part..... had maybe 5 or 6 friends that I had not seen in several years show up... just to see us, and chat a little. Didn't take many breaks but I talked to them as much as I could but then after we finished, about 11:30, they all stuck around and we had a great time tipping a few and reminiscing. Well, actually I didn't drink.... I'm not as young as I used to be.
