Yeah, that's always frustrating..

I wrote a guitar intro - finger picking style, which I NEVER do.. but, to me, it sounds familiar, but I can't put my finger on it.. Its like I either wrote it, or subliminally plagiarized it, but I can't figure out which.. I've even cranked up one of those "hum a melody apps that tells you what song it is" and it couldn't figure it out.. but, if it was something I plagiarized, it wouldn't be a mainstream song, so I dunno.. I'll keep playing it until I accidentally run across what I took it from - or until I get a call from a lawyer saying to cease and desist..

Jimmy, it was weird.. every now and then I'll wake up with an immediate lyric and melody in my head.. today it happened again and I smartly got up and wrote it down.. Has that ever happened to you - or anyone else here that plays an instrument? Happens to me about 2-3 times a year..
