and yes.... I understand how intricate it is today. (Not saying you said I thought otherwise, just pointing out that I get it). When I say "I'm amazed" I mean that quite honestly.... who pitches to whom, how to pitch, when to change pitchers, it is like chess and the number of moves are infinite in possibilities.

I can't say I believe that level of intricacy is necessary, or mostly effective, but I can't say it's not either.
