Sometimes you wont know until you try something. I was very fast in school and made varsity track team as a freshman, but
hated practice among other things.
Also, it takes time to get good at some sports. I was a poor soccer player as a young kid in youth soccer, but got better with the soccer team.
Terrible at basketball, but played on several youth and school teams.
Loved tennis and focus most of my energy on that, but that was because I liked it. I was a ranked junior (like SST) and played on a really good HS team and played informally with a lot of college players at UC Davis who wanted me to go out, but at that point I had moved on.
parents are pushing kids too much and to play one sport it is easy to burn out and most kids will never play on a college team.
Have fun, learn some discipline, stay healthy, handle winning and losing and meet new friends.......that's what sports is all about.
