During the Dodger game last night it was mentioned by one of the commentators that many of the best players at the MLB level were multi sport athletes growing up. So many of the skills from one sport translate to another.
Bottom line (according to many) is play as many as you can. Parents guiding their kids toward one sport usually do so with dreams of a college scholarship or a professional career. Hate to be a downer, but it's not happening for about 95 percent of them.
