I love Zeppelin but "Goin' to California" makes me want to hurt someone when I hear it. At a minimum I really like EVERY Zeppelin song except that one. I absolutely hate it. When Stairway comes on the radio, I usually don't listen to but if I catch the guitar solo at the end, I listen to it every time.
There are artists that I appreciate their talent but hate their sound.
Its funny, a close long time friend, almost a brother to me... I've known him close to 30 years. I never questioned that we wouldn't have the same exact political beliefs... But they are polar opposite political!. Made me question everything. It's hard for me to talk to him now. Never came up for 30 years and then POW! Knocked me for a loop.
Anyway back to the point... some bands I might just dislike the singer's voice and therefore can't stand to listen to the entire band. There was a sound that started in the 2000's that seems to have maintained. I'm not sure I can name any artists who started recording after 2000 that I like. But I agree that a lot of times I can't stand a song because I've heard it so much.
