I think them staying the course and doing what they do, in the face of the mess out there, shows more strength than walking out. By playing, they can bring SOME joy WHILE they speak out and get involved. But if they walk out?? The only people who lose are the players and advertisers ($$$) And right now, among the turmoil , covid and lost jobs, I don't think people will care if they do.
Question: Who (besides you) mentioned NFL players walking out?
I don't believe that they're considering such a thing for the very reason you brought up - by playing, they can continue to have a platform to express their views.
But, despite your words, you don't even want them to do that.
Just shut up and play so I don't have to think about problems that might affect you.But let's assume that some players do walk out. I wouldn't think of them as not being strong. Quite the opposite. I'd think that they'd be showing strength by showing that they'd be willing to sacrifice their paycheck for a cause they believe in.
Remember, people in this country have sacrificed a whole lot more than money to do what they thought was right.
