Like SST said below, many people out there are tired of Politics in EVERYTHING. You cannot watch even a Comic anymore without Politics. TV Sitcoms.....Music....."Entertainment" News shows........the Weather..........EEEEEEVERYTHING! The whole country is really uptight and too bitter to start CONSTRUCTIVE progress. We need an outlet and there are almost none left. Do I think the players should play in the tornado? YES! I certainly have to work in it as a Firefighter. We ALL have to work in it! NFL players are HUGE role models to many.....Black and White. I'm just saying they can be a calm in the storm....a distraction to the anger out there that has veered FAR from the issues. I think them staying the course and doing what they do, in the face of the mess out there, shows more strength than walking out. By playing, they can bring SOME joy WHILE they speak out and get involved. But if they walk out?? The only people who lose are the players and advertisers ($$$) And right now, among the turmoil , covid and lost jobs, I don't think people will care if they do.
