My journey was backwards. Well, sort of. I was always into all types.... but Smooth Jazz captured me like I was hit with the Thunderbolt. Very early 90's?
Then I journeyed back... to Davis, Coltrane.. and then even further back. Today I listen to all types pretty much equally.
Ragtime.. it is Jazz... but I personally never really saw it that way... it's so very different. But my point here is that this is a 'type', or genre', or music that is most difficult for me to understand that some people do NOT like.
It's so amazingly 'catchy' to me.
