somehow did something like that, but I haven't read what exactly happened.. Lots of people upload their stuff to soundcloud and I've heard really good and really bad stuff.. my guess is nowadays, if record companies even exist, they probably sit back and let the artists half kill themselves to get their music recorded and published and advertised non-stop at the artist's expense... then whoever tends to be popular may get a call from the record labels.. but, they hardly do anything anymore, yet probably make all the money..
