I've been living in the Santa Clara valley since 1965.... I don't recall having so many fires in the surrounding hills burning at the same time. ... the east hills, Santa Cruz Mountains and the Alameda hills are all burning and it's causing the worst air quality in the country in our valley.
I heard of the evacuations in Boulder Creek, Loma and the Big Basin area are in effect...
It's been very hot, but at least the winds are calm.
I hope this is somewhat contained before it spreads to your area .,..... lots of homes in the surrounding Santa Cruz hills near Scotts Valley.....
10,000 + recorded lighting strikes last weekend.... one hit a palm tree behind my house in San Jose and it caught fire......
