Most roads today handle heat well....

especially major roads.

I remember the road in front of my home on those very hot days, like now, would somewhat melt. You could scoop a chunk up with your bare hands and roll into into a ball, which as kids we did quite often.

Motorcyclists carry, (if they're smart), a kick stand shoe that you place under the stock kickstand.... to prevent sinking into over heated pavement and having your bike topple over. - JamesJM
