SURVIVED a Russian Gulag??? Say no more.

That was a tough man! When my Dad was a little boy, growing up in Myrtle Beach and living VERY close to the air base there, he befriended several German POWs, who were held there. A few of them were Submariners who actually rowed a raft to the Beach and simply went for a walk and got caught. Many of the POWs had every intention of staying in the US . My Dad did say there were a couple of fanatics who killed themselves upon hearing the news that Hitler was dead.
