I've told this before.. but what the hell?

First things first, lets get this straight. I love Journey and Steve Perry... not only is he a local, and one of my best friend's close friend, (graduated HS together)... but I think he he was one of the greatest vocalists of all time.

NOT this night.

The band "America" was performing at the Fresno Fair. I was there. LOVE America as well. Steve was also there... and America invited him up on stage to join them.. for a song, or two. Not sure if they knew but Steve had been imbibing that evening. He didn't hit a single note... I could have done better, so could you. Seriously... total calamity, worse than Rosie singing the National Anthem.

I forgave him, of course... mostly because, "been there done that".

BUT, it occurs to me that I am probably one of the very few that ever saw Steve screw the pooch.
