I suppose I'm not good at labeling or identifying types of music. I do enjoy Davis, Monk, and I like Brubeck. I even like Hawaiian music. I'm a big fan of all "The Band" did and I think that would be country rock (?) Again I'm not into identifying the "type" of music. It all depends on my mood. I used the word "soft" because it's like easy listening for me. If I'm alone ( my wife is not into the same music I am) I will turn on Norah Jones. Turn off the lights and just listen. Not sure what you would call her music. Here is one of her songs.
