every smooth jazz artist you ever saw in concert? I cannot, I'm sorry to say. I was trying to remember if I ever saw Jeff... I'm certain I must have but admittedly I don't know.

For nearly 20 years I went to so many smooth jazz concerts that they have become a blur to me... except for some that truly stood out. Frank and I discussed this a long time ago. At one time, from the very late 80's until the early 2000's my area was saturated with smooth jazz. Several cities very near me held regular smooth jazz concerts... plus all the Indian Casinos... there was a time when I was seeing a concert every two weeks or so. PLUS:

Jazz festivals... at it's peak I believe there were probably a couple dozen of them per year, (within 150 miles of me).... with as many as 10 groups per event.. and big names. I even attended a few down in southern Calif.... but not many.

But thru all that, as you probably remember, I never went on a Jazz Cruise.... what a fool I am. I believe Dave Koz still has a yearly cruise... mostly with Peter White I believe. - JamesJM
