That sounds like an early version of the George Foreman. I have a GF and love it for burgers because it squeezes out the fat. But since fat is a big part of the flavor, they aren't the best.
OK. . . picture this. A toaster with its base attached to the wall, the slots staring at you and you insert the burgers that way. It's built to accommodate maybe 8 burgers at a time. There is no squeeze. Flame is on each side of the burgers.
