Considering that cases have been growing in states along the southern border and several nations in the topics, it is clear that the pandemic isn't going to go away with warm weather. The forest fire will continue as long as there is plenty of dry wood, and it is still in an early stage because only a small percentage of the population has been infected.
The fact that multiple teams want to delay the season is ominous. There is no reason to expect the situation to improve any time soon. So there is no reason to expect those teams to change their minds any time soon.
A good example of the unpredictable nature of the pandemic is what has happened with baseball. If my memory is correct, they were at one time considering starting a season with all of the teams in Arizona. At the time, it seemed like a good idea, but look at what has been happening in that state lately.
