I could look this up and get the day, but I won't.. it doesn't matter.
My wife and I took a cousin and his wife to a Ram's game back many years ago... they had never seen an NFL game. They weren't fans, still aren't. I think it was the day after the game, but it may have been the same day, my wife, (of course), had to show my cousin's wife the movie stars homes... by then we knew most of them by heart, no need for a map.
We were driving around and came around the corner only to see hundreds, literally hundreds, of people standing around the gate to a home.... they had the street blocked. When we came on them every one of them turned to stare at us.... and photographers started snapping our photos, this was when they had actual cameras.
Needless to say we all, simultaneously, asked of each other... "What the hell?". It was the day Henry Fonda had died, and it was his house. There were stars galore out front getting 'cleared' to go inside to pay their respects.
Oh, and while I'm add it... remember me telling this one?... we once, on Sunset, came to a red light and Don Knott's pulled up alongside us in a convertible.. with a bleached and quite busty blond sitting nearly in his lap. It was HOLLYWOOD all in capital letters. I always loved Barney but that day the esteem I held him in went sky high.
