I remember as a young boy going to the theater with my mom and before each feature there would be a newsreel that showed footage of the war. Always positive. Never about the loss of allied lives or the horrific injuries suffered by those on the battle front be they the enemies or allies. Not so in Viet Nam where you saw it all including the dark and ugly side of war.
