Yes and that's an entirely different issue that deserves attention. In that light keep in mind there are over 100 North American companies in a 3 billion dollar industry involved in the growth, harvest, marketing, import and distribution of Mexican fruit. My point was that Mexican fruit is beyond safe. And that was a my only point.
The treatment of the country's workers is an issue that doesn't lie squarely at the feet of Mexico-it's also a US responsibility as well given our corporate control of the ways and means of the production and distribution of Mexican fruit. And then there is our appetite for the delicious fruit from Mexican soil. Simply put, we are all in this together.
