other then KICD out of Spencer , but their a county and western station

but they , were , and still are , the big kids on the block

they were both AM/FM

I remember when I was a kid , my parent had a radio that sat one top of their refrigerator , and we would listen to it every morning getting ready for school

it always had the school lunch menu's , the days weather , and / or school postponements , depend on the weather

but as far as listening to top 40 , that was a little trickier , although I know we had local top 40 stations , I couldn't for the life of me , remember what they were , and if they even still exist

all the stations we listen to now didn't exist when I was a kid , other then KILR out of Esterville , and I believe they were country as well back then

I do remember laying in bed at night trying to get WOW am out of Omaha to come in at night time

I did find a radio just like the one I had as a kid on eBay a while back, didn't work very well , so I took all the insides out and mounted one of those Google Home Speakers inside of it , and sits on our night stand now and thats what we listen to at night
