I owned a Dewalt set for about 15 years... the batteries outlived the unit itself... it was a good solid unit...
then I bought a Craftsman set, the charger crapped out after about 3 years.... in addition, it was a bulky drill .....very disappointing
our handy-man suggested that I pick up a Milwaukee, which I did last spring........... smaller yet much stronger battery with long life (18v), well built charging station and small compact hand drill... it's a very good tool.... I only wish that I had bought it sooner.....
you know how it is with cordless drills... they get a ton a use ... they're a great tool to have.
BTW, regardless of the drill you choose I recommend getting a "drill flip drive" kit...great to have to predrill holes for wood screws..
