Hill is one of my all time favorite athletes because of his back story. It just seemed iffy to me, in essence having a bullpen game against Sherzer. And the Dodgers didn't seem to have a firm plan for after Hill left. It can be argued that Maeda could've been left in the game for at least another inning the way he looked, and going to Urias after he pitched 2 innings the day before seemed kind of strange. I'm also still trying to figure out why the Dodgers pinch hit CT3 with the bases loaded in the 7th and left Freese sitting on the bench. What the heck are you saving Freese for there?
Yeah Lux has definitely taken some lumps since coming up and now in the playoffs. The kid is 21 and was at AA a few months ago, I just don't think he is ready.
I agree, it seems like a no brainer to not only start Freese, but to leave him in for the whole game tonight, regardless of who is on the mound. And yeah Beaty for Pollock seems about right. What an AWFUL time to go into probably as bad a slump as he has been in, in his entire career. 10 Ks in 12 ABs...yikes!!!
