an acquired taste....back in the day it was more of a "Macho deal" for us young guys....My dad was a professor at the time, in his past he was a part of the US Embassy to Iran (i was born there and my birth certificate is signed by Kissenger...I had dual citizen ship until of age (18)....at any rate I digress.

My dad was good friends with the County Sheriff and he was supplied with the best shine in the County (WV).....sounds hillbilly doesn't it.....but that's a truth.....I was weened on the best...Actually good shine does go down smooth...it is all how it's cut down and what is used to cut it down.....cheap stuff can have anything in it...even kerosene/gasoline...I never got into the process of what is good to cut it with...It needs to be clear(no tint of any kind).....and if lit it burns with a clean flame....
